Los Angeles City Council District 9 has launched the second round of its Community Grant Program, offering $3 million in total funding for local nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and community groups. Grants range from $5,000 to $100,000 per organization.
Priority is given to District 9-based nonprofits, faith-based groups, schools, and Neighborhood Councils. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m.
on June 7, 2026. The program was first established in 2021 by outgoing Council Member Curren D.
Price Jr. using funds previously allocated to the LAPD.
In 2022, the program awarded $4 million to nearly 100 organizations, including Conga Kids, which used a $50,000 grant to provide dance education to over 2,190 students in underserved communities.
