The Santa Clarita Public Library launches its Summer Reading Program from June 8 to July 24, 2026, themed 'Unearth a Story' with dinosaur-inspired activities. Summer Reading Challenge: Log reading days at SantaClaritaReads to earn books and prizes.

Kick-off event: Saturday, June 13, 10 a.m.–noon at Old Town Newhall Library Branch. Check It OUT-Side: Outdoor story times every Tuesday at local parks.

Lunch at the Library: Free healthy lunches for youth 18 and under, Monday–Friday, noon–1 p.m., at Old Town Newhall and Canyon Country Jo Anne Darcy branches. The program aims to turn reading into an interactive adventure for all ages, with crafts, performances, and educational programs.
