10 June 2026 16:00

Nine women incarcerated at San Francisco County Jail #2 have filed a lawsuit against the city and county over unsanitary and inhumane conditions. - The lawsuit cites lack of hot water, fewer job opportunities for women, and no outdoor space.

- Attorney Yolanda Huang says pre-trial detainees are presumed innocent but face health violations. - Conditions allegedly cause sleep disruptions, skin irritations, and chronic diseases.

- Plaintiffs demand daily sunlight, exercise, healthy food, and a pathogen-free environment. The City Attorney's Office will review the complaint once served.
