The House of Representatives passed a war powers resolution to halt U.S. military action against Iran, with a 215-208 vote.
The measure now goes to the Senate, which previously advanced its own version. The war, ongoing since February 28, has cost over $100 billion and caused gas price spikes.
A ceasefire remains fragile, and the House is also considering support for Ukraine and a resolution on Lebanon. The Senate will also vote on immigration enforcement after dropping Trump's settlement fund.
