Hong Kong authorities charged seven people and two companies with manslaughter and conspiracy to defraud over a fire that killed 168 people in the Wang Fuk Court estate. The blaze occurred on Nov.
15, 2025, during a renovation project. The defendants include directors of Will Power Architects and Prestige Construction & Engineering, and a registered inspector.
The hearing will resume in September.
