Homeland Man Arrested on Weapons, Drug Charges at Piru Campground

A 46-year-old Homeland man was arrested on felony weapons and drug charges after a search of his motorhome at Lake Piru Campground in Ventura County. - Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call on June 11, 2026, but initially found no crime.

- A search warrant was executed on June 12, leading to the seizure of a loaded shotgun, a loaded .45 caliber handgun, and over a quarter pound of methamphetamine. - The suspect faces charges including possession of a controlled substance while armed with a firearm, unlawful transfer of a firearm, and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

The investigation was conducted by the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
