Former NYPD officer Matthew Lambert pleaded guilty to official misconduct for having sex with a woman hours after arresting her and sending inappropriate messages to two crime victims. He was sentenced to two years probation, 100 hours of community service, and mandatory counseling.
Lambert will be permanently barred from police work in New York state. The incidents occurred in 2024 while he was assigned to the 13th Precinct detective squad.
