A series of five earthquakes struck off the Northern California coast on Wednesday morning, with the strongest being a magnitude 5.7 near Crescent City. - Four quakes were centered off Humboldt County near Eureka, including a magnitude 5.1.

- The largest quake (5.7) occurred at 3:53 a.m. about 100 miles west of Crescent City in Del Norte County.
