Feather River College Rodeo Competitor Dies in Swimming Accident

Feather River College announced the death of student Jacob Burke, a top rodeo competitor, who drowned while swimming with family and friends at Oakland Camp on May 10. - Burke was a freshman and standout bull rider, winning a recent competition at Cal Poly SLO and ranking in the Top 5 regionally.

- College President Kevin Trutna offered condolences and noted the deep friendships Burke had within the rodeo team. - The college is providing mental health support through its Wellness Center for those affected.
