Ex-probation officer sentenced for embezzling $169K

A former San Luis Obispo County deputy probation officer has been sentenced for embezzling over $169,000 from the county Probation Peace Officers' Association. - Sierra Rollins, 32, served as treasurer and stole funds from Feb.

2024 to Jan. 2025.

- She pleaded no contest to nine counts of felony grand theft and admitted to thefts totaling $169,874.95. - Rollins paid full restitution and received 270 days in jail plus two years of felony probation.

- If she violates probation, she faces up to eight years and four months in state prison.
