East Palo Alto man gets 17 years for 57 burglaries

A 27-year-old East Palo Alto man was sentenced to 17 years and four months for 57 residential burglaries across the San Francisco Peninsula. - Francisco Antonio Cruz Ramirez pleaded no contest to 13 counts of felony residential burglary.

- The burglaries occurred between September 2018 and May 2019, netting nearly $2 million in goods and over 100 firearms. - Five homes were occupied during the burglaries.

- His brother, Raul Ramirez Cruz, was previously sentenced to two years for accessory. The sentence was handed down by San Mateo County Superior Court Judge Sean P.

Dabel, and the defendant remains in custody on $2.85 million bail.
