Drugs worth $383K seized at US-Mexico border

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at two California ports of entry seized over 130 pounds of drugs worth $383,091 in two separate smuggling attempts.

- At San Ysidro, officers found 7.89 pounds of fentanyl and 8.42 pounds of cocaine hidden in a vehicle's firewall. - At Calexico East, officers discovered 119.79 pounds of methamphetamine in a hidden compartment.

- Both drivers were arrested and face federal prosecution for narcotics importation. The seizures highlight the ongoing efforts of CBP officers to prevent dangerous drugs from entering the country.
