Cross-border brush fire burns near Dulzura, charring 50 acres in U.S. and 400 in Mexico

A brush fire that began in Mexico has crossed into San Diego County near Dulzura, burning 50 acres in the U.S. and over 400 acres in Mexico.

- The fire started Monday near Rancho Las Uvas and the border fence between Tijuana and Tecate. - Cal Fire deployed two helicopters and two air tankers to assist 50 firefighters on the U.S.

side. - Baja California Civil Protection estimates 90% of the fire is on Mexican soil, covering about 740 acres total.

- No structures are threatened, and coordination between U.S. and Mexican agencies is ongoing.
