Crews Gain Ground on Putah Fire as Hot, Dry Conditions Raise Concerns Across North Bay

Firefighters have increased containment of the Putah Fire to 30% as of Wednesday morning, but dangerous fire weather conditions are expected to intensify overnight. The fire, which started Monday from an escaped prescribed burn, has burned 869 acres near Winters in Yolo County.

- Highway 128 reopened Tuesday evening after being closed due to the fire. - Evacuation advisories for three Yolo County zones were lifted.
