Covelo bridge collapse to take 2+ years to replace

A bridge near Covelo, Mendocino County, collapsed on June 12 while a vehicle was crossing, causing minor injuries to the driver. Officials say replacement will take at least two years.

- The Green Bridge on Hill Road completely collapsed on June 12, 2026. - The driver sustained only minor injuries.

- MCDOT has closed Hill Road at both sides of the bridge. - Replacement will take a minimum of two years, possibly three.
