Christian leaders in Tyre, Lebanon, urged international and local officials to act quickly to prevent an Israeli attack on the city's Christian district, following an Israeli evacuation warning. An airstrike in another neighborhood killed eight and wounded 32.
The leaders warned that targeting the historic old quarter would be a humanitarian catastrophe. Hundreds fled the Christian district, causing traffic jams along the coastal highway.
The conflict has killed around 3,500 people and displaced over 1 million.
