Chowchilla teenager Asterisk Talley is preparing to compete in the Chevron Championship, the first women's golf major of the year, following a standout performance in Los Angeles. The 17-year-old amateur finished tied for 13th at 9-under par in the JM Eagle LA Championship on a sponsor's invite.
Talley, a Stanford commit, averaged 290 yards off the tee and carded four straight under-par rounds. This will be her ninth professional event and fourth major championship appearance.
The young golfer from Madera County continues to gain valuable experience on the professional circuit as she builds toward her future career.
