Chico State University Police Chief Chris Nicodemus is retiring on July 1 to lead Butte College's Law Enforcement Academy. - He served as interim chief from January 2022 and became permanent in 2023.
- Under his leadership, Chico State joined the Butte Interagency Narcotics Task Force (BINTF). - He was recognized among top CSU campus police chiefs and contributed to the Bidwell Mansion fire investigation.
Chico State will appoint an interim chief with CSU experience and begin a search for a permanent replacement this summer.
