Pine Cliff Campground in June Lake, California, is reopening after four years of closure. The campground closed after the death of its long-time leaseholder, leaving it without a required U.S.
Forest Service permit. Reopening will occur in three phases: first, showers and a general store; second, dry camping only; third, full hookup sites for RVs.
The U.S. Forest Service must still approve the plans.
June Lake, known as California's Little Switzerland, offers access to four crystal-clear lakes, hiking, fishing, and winter sports at June Mountain.
