BP Ousts Chairman Over Governance Concerns

BP has abruptly removed its chairman, Albert Manifold, due to governance and conduct issues. The board named Ian Tyler as interim chair.

- Manifold had been chairman since October 2025. - BP's 2025 earnings fell 16% to $7.49 billion.

- The company abandoned its renewable energy pivot in 2024. - CEO Murray Auchincloss stepped down in December 2025.
