Baker County Library Offers State Park Day-Use Parking Permits for Loan

The Baker County Library District has launched a pilot program offering Oregon State Park day-use parking permits for loan. - Four permits are available for seven-day loans on a first-come, first-served basis through June 2027.

- Permits are valid at fee-charging day-use areas, including Farewell Bend, Wallowa Lake, Lake Owyhee, and parks in the Columbia Gorge. - Patrons can borrow one permit per library account; late fees are $1 per day, and replacement for lost permits costs $75.

- The program is a partnership with the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department to increase access to natural resources. Residents can obtain permits starting Monday, June 15, at the main branch in Baker City.
