10 June 2026 07:50

The Auburn School District (ASD) is launching its Summer Food Program on June 22, providing free breakfast and lunch to all children under 18, regardless of income. The program, funded by the USDA, aims to ensure nutritious meals during school break.

- Meals are served at over 30 locations including schools, parks, and community centers. - Schedules vary: some sites offer both meals daily, others on specific days; some provide only lunch.

- No registration or ID is required; meals must be eaten on-site. - A seven-day meal box option is available at two Muckleshoot locations from June 30 to July 27.

The program runs through August, with a "Back 2 School" supper event on August 14. Parents over 18 can purchase a meal for $5.50.
