The 31st annual Trinidad Memorial Ceremony will be held on May 24 at Trinidad Bay Memorial Park, honoring those lost or buried at sea. - The ceremony begins at 2 p.m.
with bagpipe music by Roddy Ross and includes a flag ceremony, invocation, and singing of "Amazing Grace." - Mayor Cheryl Kelly will ring the lighthouse bell, and names will be read followed by "Taps." - The event lasts about 45 minutes, rain or shine, with road closures from 1 to 3 p.m. - The Memorial Lighthouse, housing historic navigational aids, was relocated and dedicated in 2025 at the Trinidad Rancheria Harbor.
