A proposal for 286 housing units near Highway 101 in Palo Alto's Palo Verde neighborhood has been submitted by Strada Investment Group. The project includes an eight-story apartment building with 261 rental units and 25 townhomes for sale.
At least 15% of units will be affordable for low-income residents. The developer is using state laws to streamline approval.
The site is currently zoned for industrial use but is identified for housing in the city's plan. Structures will be elevated to mitigate flood risk.
