10 Tulare County Restaurants Fail April Health Inspections

Ten Tulare County restaurants failed their April health inspections, according to a report from the Tulare County Environmental Health Division. The inspections revealed major or critical violations at establishments including Wild Jacks Traver Restaurant, Habi Sushi, El Malecon, Bob’s Frosty King, and El Nuevo Presidente Bar and Grill.

- Wild Jacks Traver Restaurant had dead cockroaches, rodent droppings, and improper pest control. - Habi Sushi was cited for improper food thawing and mold-like substances.

- Bob’s Frosty King had multiple repeat violations, including lack of a food manager certificate and improper food temperatures. - El Nuevo Presidente Bar and Grill had issues with sanitizer and food storage.

The report also listed five restaurants with perfect scores, including California Fish Grill and Starbucks. The findings underscore ongoing health and safety challenges in the county's food service industry.
