Fifteen nonprofit organizations serving the Inland Empire were honored as California Nonprofits of the Year by state legislators on May 20 at the state Capitol. The awards highlight the diversity and impact of nonprofits across the region.
- Honorees include New Hope Village, Antelope Valley Blue Star Mothers Chapter 14, Family Assistance Program, Inland Counties Legal Services, Michelle’s Place Cancer Resource Center, Today’s Woman Foundation, Coachella Valley Rescue Mission, Common Vision Coalition, Carol’s Kitchen, IEHP Foundation, Just Us 4 Youth, Jurupa Valley Adopt a Family, CART (Center Against Racism and Trauma), Animal Friends of the Valleys, and RSM Care. - The program, now in its 11th year, has recognized over 1,000 nonprofits statewide.
- Legislators select one nonprofit from their district to honor each year. The recognition underscores the vital role these organizations play in health, youth, housing, legal aid, military support, and animal welfare throughout the Inland Empire.
